SSI Specialty Course: Altitude Diving

There are many high mountain lakes and most have a very good visibility. What do you need to know to dive them safely?The answer is the SSI Specialty Altitude Diving.

If you dive in a body of water 300 to 3000 meters (1000 to 10000 feet) above sea level, you call this Altitude Diving.

Most algorithms have been designed to plan dives up to 300 meters (1000 feet). During your Altitude Diving program, you will find everything you need to safely plan dives at a higher altitude.

Course Content:

• Planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and dangers of mountain lake diving
• Special equipment for altitude dives
• Safety stops and emergency decompression procedures during altitude dives

The primary goal of any SSI Specialty course is to teach you important skills in a fun environment. All courses are taught using home study, short academic sessions, and in-water training.
